Help!!! permed and dyed my hair at the same time?

I've just had my hair permed and my hair dyed at the same time, bec. my hair stylist told me that it's okay because he will just apply the hair coloring product on my crown area for the re-growth so i agreed. but it doesn't turn out well because my hair was damaged due to breakage and i've no choice but to settle for ahaircut to trim the damaged hair out. Please give me some advice on how or what to use to prevent my hair from being dry and frizzy, i used to have a straight thin fine hair...
