How do I find out my pword?

I have a verizon wireless cell phone. I want to set up a Secuity code to have to put in. I know where to go on my phone but when i do it says enter pword. But the prolbem is I DONT HAVE ONE AND NEVER MADE A PWORD!!! please help i dont kno what i should do. Im gussing the company set up a pword that i never knew about!! boo hoo
